Kanny is an artist born in Hong Kong, currently living on the tropical island of Bali, Indonesia. She cultivated an interest in data visualization during her studies at Parsons the New School for Design in New York, focusing on the translation of quantitative and qualitative information into emotive stories.

Through painting, Kanny channels experiences in the natural world and from introspection. Find her admiring the vivid sun set, meditating in rock-scapes, obsessing over a colour and abstracting shapes of water.

She has exhibited in Australia, the USA, and Hong Kong, and her commission work is in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection (2024). She recently completed artist residencies in Iceland (NES Artist Residency, 2023) and UK (Moosey Artist Residency, 2024).
